Musical activity and links
Music is a real passion of mine, something I’ve been keen on all my life. My Grandad was always singing, as was my mother, so I’ve had ingrained in my memory lots of songs from the ’30s onwards and the banjolele fits that era well.
I like all sorts of music and I’m open minded as to what I’ll attempt to play, listen and learn. It’s all music! My approach usually is to listen to the song, both studio and live, to get a feel for it and after that try to make my own version. You can always rearrange a song if you’re not happy with the feel or style of it.
