Fender Stratocaster 2008 MIM

My first Fender Made in Mexico (MIM) Stratocaster needed a little bit of cosmetic TLC. Covered in stickers the challenge was to remove them and hopefully find that they hadn’t been on there so long the finish was darker underneath them. That wasn’t the case fortunately. The nut certainly needed replacing since it was cracked. A period tone knob was required too.

Overall this guitar feels nice and plays well. I use it mainly for practice and in the future I’ll use it for a backup guitar and jams.

I have now cleaned off all the stickers, found a period knob and added a couple of extra tremolo springs to “hardtail” the bridge
